The System:

Levulose Karate is the official martial arts system used by Perro Worldwide Comics performers. Developed by Chip Perro, it is a mixture of Shotokan Karate, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and Tumbling. Created for on-screen performers, Levulose Karate combines practical and effective technique with stylish camera-ready flourishes. Emphasis is placed on form, distance control, and timing.

Uniforms (Gi):

The Levulose Karate Uniform (Gi) is an all-black, heavy-weight weave.  A red rash guard is worn underneath.   

Belts & Rankings:

Kyu Ranks

10th Kyu - White
9th-7th Kyu - Green Belt (with one, two, or three stripes)

6th-4th Kyu - Purple Belt (with one, two, or three stripes)
3rd-1st Kyu - Brown Belt (with one, two, or three stripes)

Dan Ranks
1st-10th Dan - Black Belt

Certificates:

Beginner's Stunt Training Certificate - Earned upon reaching 9th Kyu

Intermediate Stunt Training Certificate - Earned upon reaching 6th Kyu

Advanced Stunt Training Certificate - Earned upon reaching 3rd Kyu

Expert Stunt Training Certificate - Earned upon reaching 1st Dan
